Hoops and YoYo Exposed!
It seems that the NAACP discovered a “racist” card. Hallmark was quick to grovel and censor the card. The offending characters are known White Supremacists Hoops and YoYo. I mostly worry about the CHILDREN being exposed to such hate.

Printed on the card, is dialogue such as, "Watch out, Saturn, this grad is gonna run rings around you!" And on the audio chip that plays once the card is opened, Hoops and Yoyo continue their riffing on all the things new graduates are going to do once they get out there to take on the universe.
Including: ""And you black holes -- you're so ominous! And you planets? Watch your back!"
Sounds like an innocent enough reference to that peculiar feature of the solar system known as a black hole to us. But members of the NAACP hear it differently, saying the high-pitched voice of Hoops -- or Yoyo, we still can't keep 'em straight -- says "black whores" and is a racist slur against African-American women.
Ah, to be a victim of your own success. Keep up the fight. Hate is everywhere!

ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? The NAACP is always pulling "the race card". These guys in the NAACP are paid employees. They will get fired if they do not make a fuss every now and then. The NAACP has to make up a controversy or they will loose their significance (and their funding). They probably have all sorts BS to pull, just in case no real racial problem actually occurs.

Personally I think Hoops and YoYo cards discriminate against people with disabilities. Emphysema patients are often referred to as "pink puffers". That FU[KING pink bunny is obviously a slight towards people with emphysema.
To make matters worse, the whole damn greeting card industry is racist. Chinese people have been using colored cards to convey messages for centuries. Now, Hallmark comes around and starts making fun their heritage. The whole greeting card racket needs to be shut down!
