It seems that the first peoples of North America were from Europe. Later, invaders crossed the land bridge from Siberia and stole our land. And while our people deserve reparations, I think it is also time to forgive the invaders and pray they will end their wicked ways. New archaeological evidence suggests that America was first discovered by Stone Age people from Europe – 10,000 years before the Siberian-originating ancestors of the American Indians set foot in the New World. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/new-evidence-suggests-stone-age-hunters-from-europe-discovered-america-7447152.html Previously there was a famous Native American Prayer to the White Man. As it turns out the Indians are no longer "native", I have updated the prayer. Here is the original: Prayer for The White Man And now, Grandfather, I ask you to bless the White Man. He needs your Wisdom, your guidance. You see, for so long, he has tried to destroy my people, and only feels comfortabl...

I love to read old magazines. Reading old magazines is a way to time travel into the past to see how the world looked. What is great is that you can learn history from looking at the actual media that was read by the people of that time. Far too often historians or “educators” will provide a spin of an era through a lens of current mores and propaganda. By looking at the source material from that time, you can bypass the current fashions and prejudices and gain a better understanding of how America actually looked during a specific era. For better or worse, America has been radically transformed since the year of my birth (1963). By browsing through these magazines you can see how much has changed. Here is the link to the old Life Magazines provided by Google Books. http://books.google.com/books?id=4UwEAAAAMBAJ&source=gbs_navlinks_s#all_issues_anchor

During Columbus Day we now get the usual politically correct angst and gnashing of teeth concerning the evil of Columbus. The usual story now taught to children is that the natives of America were living in peace and harmony with Mother Earth until the evil White Man arrived and destroyed their idyllic paradise. And Columbus is now the convenient target for their hate. An example of this revisionist history can be found at the link below. It seems that fourth grade school children in Pennsylvania put Columbus on a mock trial charging him with misrepresenting the Spanish crown and thievery. They found him guilty and sentenced him to life in prison. http://news.aol.com/article/students-learn-about-the-dark-side-of/712947#Comments The irony is that Columbus was thrown into jail just eight years after discovering America. He was accused of crimes against the Spanish crown. Of course, these charges had nothing to do with the mistreatment of the native people. These charges were politically ...
