Years ago in my misspent youth I spent too many hours at the Blackjack tables. Unlike most people, I won. I have always been obsessed with numbers, so I learned how to game the casinos. In 2002 I got careless, and I got banned. I have not been back to a table since that time. But I still get a rush when I see a deck of cards. I suppose I will always be addicted. During those hours at the tables, I learned much about human behavior. It was a fascinating experience.

Winston Blackmore is a polygamist in Canada who has a case headed for the Canadian Supreme Court. Blackmore is arguing that if it is OK for gays to marry, why should polygamy be illegal? After all, the argument in support of gay marriage is that what consenting adults do sexually should not be regulated by the government. Based on this logic, there is no reason that polygamy should be illegal. Polygamy is the norm in primitive societies. So a return to polygamy would in many ways be a return to the jungle. Ira Einhorn viciously killed his girlfriend, Holly Maddux, in 1977. He was later to be known as the Unicorn killer. After his arrest, many people of the elite rushed to his defense. A controversy erupted when Miss USA contestant, Carrie Prejean, was asked a question if she supported gay marriage. She said that she did not personally support gay marriage. This caused Perez Hilton (a gay guy) to have a hissy fit. There is so much wrong with this on so many levels. Why do we care what a Miss USA contestant thinks of gay marriage? Why do we have a guy that does not find women to be sexually attractive as a judge in a beauty pageant? Why must all beauty contestants look like men in drag?

I think we have all seen this handshake. Fox News and conservative web site are outraged that a representative of our government would shake the hand of a socialist dictator. I can’t believe that Obama would do such a thing. But I suppose we should not expect anything more from Democrats. At least Republicans would not stoop so low to do such a thing.

Here is a story in which some kid claimed a black guy talked to him and followed him to school. The school reacted with the usually hysteria and called the police. It turns out the guy was just minding his own business and never talked or approached the child. The child admitted he lied. Despite this admission of lying, the police praised the boy’s actions. We have seen similar cases (such as the Duke rape hoax) in which men are now considered guilty until proven innocent. Susan Boyle is an internet sensation who was discovered on a British talent show. Do people love her because of her voice? Or do they love the fact that she is homely? I know this is supposed to be a “feel good” moment. These “Tea Parties” are now all the rage. I guess these tea parties are pretty much composed of middle-aged white people protesting the loss of their country. I suppose they think that holding a sign and a bag of tea will change something. In reality, the government does not give a damn. The original tea party was a criminal and violent act organized by the Sons of Liberty. In modern terms we would call these patriots “terrorists.” These guys were willing to risk their lives and fortunes for liberty. They did not stand around holding a sign protesting King George’s tax policies. These men took violent and revolutionary actions. Peaceful and tame protests are very nice and are to be encouraged. Just don’t defame the memory of the Patriots who held a real tea party.

A University of Texas professor, Robert W. Jensen, blames porn on white supremacy, racism and capitalism. And, no, this is not a Leftist caricature from The Onion. This is one of those professors on campus who is constantly apologizing for being a male and white. I am not sure if he really believes this tripe, or he is just trying to grovel to the gods of political correctness. Below are some Donald Duck propaganda cartoons that the US government used during World War 2. I always find it creepy when a government uses children’s cartoons as a form of propaganda. It is interesting how the government justified the income tax based on the war. Governments LOVE perpetual war as a method to increase the size and control of government. The Somali Pirates are sitting on a potential gold mine. No, the gold mine is not in pirating ships and obtaining ransom. Such is dangerous and dirty work. The potential gold mine is in marketing and selling their image. With the right advice I am sure that the pirates could get a lucrative endorsement deal from Hollywood and clothing companies. Who wouldn’t want authentic pirate gear?

Another woman was a victim of violence. It seems that a male polar bear attacked an innocent woman in Germany. She jumped into the bear enclosure at the zoo in hopes with communing with these wonderful animals. Without warning, one of the bears bit her on the arms and legs. Police still do not have a motive for the attack. It could be that the bear was angry over humans for causing global warming. Another theory is that the bear mistook her for a walrus or a whale. Fortunately, the woman is expected to recover. Although she may receive a ticket for feeding the zoo animals. Below is video of the heroic rescue. She bear-ly survived.

I guess the new “alarming trend” (love that phrase) is that kids are smoking smarties candy. I included a video below in which a kid shows how to smoke smarties candy. To me it just looks rather stupid. When we were kids we at least had the good sense to sneak a cigarette. (note - YouTube just banned the original video. All the best Conservative minds are investigating Obama’s bow to the Saudi King. Is Obama a secret Muslim that is paying homage to his Muslim overlord? Or was he just leaning over in an awkward fashion when he shook hands with the Saudi King? The prophetic expert Hal Lindsey wrote an article in WorldNetDaily blasting Obama . Hal thinks it is obvious that Obama is in some sort of subservient relationship with the Saudi King. I suspect that there is a verse in Ezekiel or Daniel that prophesized this very event. Are we living in the end times? Is global warming about to kill us? Is hyperinflation just around the corner? Are the doom and gloom blogs correct? I have to admit that I have always secretly enjoyed reading disaster scenarios and predictions. It is morbidly exciting to think a Mad Max world is just around the corner. We tend to enjoy apocalyptic visions. But do such doom and gloom scenarios reflect reality? In my 45 years, I have noticed that pretty much all these wild doomsday scenarios fail to materialize. The sky really doesn’t fall and we go on with our usual petty concerns. I suppose it is more exciting, and comforting, to imagine that not only we are nearing death as individuals, but the entire world will soon end. However, I suspect the world will continue just fine after we are all gone.

The 70s icon Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. After various treatments, she celebrated that she had beaten the cancer as it was in remission. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned and it has spread to her liver. Cancer is a horrible disease that seems to follow this cruel pattern. The victim initially thinks he has been cured of the cancer, only to find that it returns in a couple of years. I have seen this pattern with so many people I have known in my life. Oh, can Farrah be 62? Is that possible? Hard to believe that a woman that was an icon in the 70s is now an elderly lady.

I saw an article that described the growth of on-line prayers. It seems that you can pay to have a computer say a prayer to God on your behalf. http://www.informationageprayer.com/ I interviewed clergy of various faiths to see if such prayers will work.

Another massacre happened recently in Binghamton, New York. It seems that a Vietnamese immigrant, Jiverly Wong, went psycho and killed 13 people. Obviously, such an act is reprehensible. And either Wong was insane or evil. However, the police maintained this was a “cowardly” act. “Cowardly” is defined as an inappropriate response to fear. However, this word has been transformed to label anyone that we don’t like. For example, our troops are always “brave”. But the enemy is always “cowardly”. While this might be nice for propaganda purposes, it horribly twists the meaning of the word. The Japanese Kamikazes in World War 2 may have been the enemy, but I don’t think they could be described as “cowardly.

The movie Into the Wild documents the real life adventures of Christopher McCandless. When McCandless graduated college he went on a couple year odyssey exploring American with nothing more than his backpack. His journey ended in the wilds of Alaska. I have mixed feelings concerning this movie. While I think McCandless was naïve and reckless, I do admire the spirit of taking changes in life. In life we always seem to walk a line between safety and adventure. It is nice to have security. But is the price worth it?

The Pledge of Allegiance was created was created by Edward Bellamy, a 19th century socialist. The goal of the pledge was to require school children (especially Southern kids) to state that the nation was “indivisible”. The Pledge was originally a work of Northern propaganda that dictated that it was somehow evil to allow states to peacefully leave the Union. Of course, by that logic, the Revolutionary War was immoral as we left the British Empire. After all, shouldn’t the British Empire be considered “indivisible”? The Pledge also originally required students to raise their hand in a Nazi style salute. This was later dropped in the 1930s. I find it always amusing how “conservatives” fight tooth and nail for what was originally socialist propaganda. It is too bad the good guys did not win the Civil War.

I have featured my dog, a Boston Terrier named Dino, in a few of my videos. In one of my videos I happened to show Dino ringing a bell to indicate that he needs to go outside to use the bathroom. A few people asked me how I was able to train a dog to do such a trick. Training a dog is actually quite easy using the clicker method. The clicker method is really just classical conditioning. So I thought I would create a video showing some of the basic training techniques. I know this is different than my usually political/satire videos. But it was a nice day and I thought it would be fun to work with my dog.
