Is Gabby Giffords a heart warming story of courage?

Image
Sad story about a congresswoman who was shot through her head. I am happy she is recovering. But it is painfully obvious that she is mentally disabled. Years ago something like this would be kept private. But I guess there is a book to sell.

Identity Politics

Here is a recent video in which President Obama engages in what is called Identity Politics. Identity Politics is making an appeal to a group of people based on their identity – such as race, sex, etc. This is in contrast to appealing to individuals based on ideas. The Democratic Party tends to encourage the notion that certain groups (such as African-Americans, Mexicans, etc.) should vote as a block in racial solidarity. Such a strategy has been quite effective as African Americans tend to vote 95%+ for the Democratic Party. Of course, no politician would dare suggest that Whites should also engage in such identity politics. Such a notion would be met with cries of “hate” and “racism”. It is an obvious double standard that is not mentioned in polite company.

Democrat stages attack on Colorado's Democratic HQ

Image
The night that Ted Kennedy died, the Colorado’s Democratic Party’s HQ windows were smashed. The chairwoman of Colorado’s Democratic Party was quick to blame the incident on “hate.” Today Maurice Schwenkler (see picture below) was arrested as being the culprit. Is Maurice a member of a hate group such as the Skinheads? Nope. Is Maurice some sort of disgruntled Republican? Nope. Maurice Schwenkler is a known operative for the Democratic Party. It seems that Maurice staged this attack in hopes of smearing the Republican Party. http://www.denverpost.com/ci_13203950 As Ted Kennedy was one of the leading figures that helped establish Cultural Marxism as the dominate ideology of America, it is fitting that a politically staged crime would occur. Such an event is very Soviet in nature. Gone are the days in which America championed the rights and liberties of the individual. Under Ted Kennedy’s direction, we are now a nation that celebrates the collectivist notion of racial and sexual politics...

David Letterman and Sarah Palin

The big news for the day regarded David Letterman’s jokes concerning Sarah Palin. It is somewhat amusing that Letterman is still telling jokes about Palin. Usually late night comedians poke fun of national figures such as the President. However, as Obama is African American it makes it risky for comedians to poke fun of him. A charge of “racism” can ruin a comedian’s career. So Letterman is reduced to making fun of safe targets such as Palin. Of course, this controversy is actually good for both Palin and Letterman. Palin has embraced the controversy as a way to keep national attention. It also allows her to play the role of a victim. And Letterman must know that this controversy will be a good ratings boost.

Ashton Kutcher's Project - End Hunger Now

I LOVE Ashton Kutcher. I know, may people think he is a typical pretentious Hollywood asshole. But I find his White boy pretending to be Black style to be endearing (sup, dog!) And I loved his Pledge Video he made for Obama. It is rare to see a grown man to grovel in such a fashion. But Ashton sure did. Anyway, now Ashton is tackling Hunger in America. And, of course, the best way to eliminate hunger is to create awareness videos. Ashton has asked all of us “artists” (hehe) on YouTube to create awareness videos for his cause. So here is my submission. Please pass this video around. I want to win. I think if my video wins, hunger will be eliminated from the Universe. Actor Ashton Kutcher is calling people to action by filming videos to raise awareness about hunger in America. Kutcher asked people on Friday night to help with his project. The videos are to be recorded of people looking into the camera and saying "Are you hungry?", then saying "Eat Something!" and then...

Should States Be Allowed to Quit?

Image
Here is an interesting article in Human Events concerning how eleven states are thinking about refusing to take the stimulus money. Per the article: State governors -- looking down the gun barrel of long-term spending forced on them by the Obama “stimulus” plan -- are saying they will refuse to take the money. This is a Constitutional confrontation between the federal government and the states unlike any in our time Originally, the United States was designed to be a country that decentralized power. The states had much more influence than the Federal government. Over time, the Federal government has grown in power and influence to a degree in which the states have very little power. The 10th amendment of the constitution clearly specified the separation of powers: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." As with most of the Constitution, this amendment is now ...
