Hollywood is Gay
SPIDER-MAN creator Stan Lee is to unveil the world’s first gay superhero.
High school basketball star Thom Creed hides his developing superpowers along with his sexuality.
Former Marvel Comics boss Stan, 86 — who also created the Hulk and the X-Men — will unleash the character in an hour-long TV drama being shot in the US.
Fabulous! Just what young boys want to see in a comic – a superhero that takes it up the you-know-what.
According to a report from GLAAD (a homosexual advocacy group), there are 22 series featuring 35 openly gay characters for the Fall 2008 TV season. Do we really need a gay superhero on top (no pun intended) of that?
Currently, 80% of the network television audience is women. Straight men are simply not interested in television anymore. The problem is that many of the Hollywood writers are gay males that simply do not understand heterosexual men. Straight men (and boys) want adventure stories in which the hero wins the love of a girl.
Sex in the City is a popular show written primarily by homosexual men. As such, the female characters actually behave in a manner more consistent with the urban, gay lifestyle. This includes an obsession with promiscuous and anonymous sex devoid of emotion or attachment. The interesting thing is that this story line is popular with a female audience.
The problem for Hollywood is that 95% of men are straight. And the current crop of sitcoms (such of Sex in the City) falls flat with us. And the idea that a gay SuperHero will be popular with guys (who are the primary audience for this genre) is absurd.
I would love to know where you are getting your sources.
ReplyDeleteI have links to the story.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons why increasing numbers of men are turning off the TV (except for sports viewing) and getting online instead. Women watch more TV on average than men do, so of course the shows cater to women -- which includes making men look like fools, highlighting gay men and fulfilled adulterous housewives and the like. We guys are on the internet and not watching these foolish shows.
