Chris Henry Thoughts




The TV people were shocked and saddened today by the death of Chris Henry. Chris Henry was a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. It seems that Chris somehow fell out of the back of a pickup truck during a “domestic violence” incident.


Pretty much the reaction to these sorts of events is scripted. Everyone says the same lines (“our prayers and thoughts…”) and expresses sorrow and shock at the loss of such a fine young man. We then learn how the victim was really a great guy and it was just unfortunate how all sorts of trouble just seemed to find him.

President Obama was disappointed that the Olympic Committee decided not to choose Chicago as the venue for the 2016 Olympics. As President Obama was formerly a successful “community organizer” in Chicago, this defeat must have been especially disappointing.
