Science is scary!




In San Diego a school's administration was horrified when a student actually conducted real science and brought a homemade motion detector to school. Of course, as these professional educators have never been exposed to real science they assumed anything with wires must obviously be dangerous. I imagine these bureaucrats trying to understand this motion detector would be akin to a chimpanzee trying to understand the workings of a computer. As such, they decided it was best to call the police into action to investigate the scary device. The San Diego police were quick to send their paramilitary force into action to investigate the matter!
