Ban Bossy
I never grow tired of these pompous, cheesy and over the top PSA commercials that rich celebrities pimp. I suppose it is important to be part of some sort of Left Wing cause to establish your cred at the Hollywood cocktail parties.
The current VERY IMPORTANT CAUSE is the campaign to ban the word "bossy". Somehow "bossy" is a sexist word. And our delicate, but empowered, American women are intimidated by that nasty word. If we could only ban that word I am sure there would be more female engineers.

The psa is inherently illogical. Beyoncé at the end says she is the boss. So be definition she's labeling herself as bossy. Completely juvenile and reality denying as well. Men are sexually repulsed by bossy women. Guess that's why at least 2 lesbians are in the piece.
ReplyDeleteJeez you'd think with all those big-shot, highly paid American entertainers they'ed be able to throw something together that was at least mildly original and entertaining. Instead we got a bunch of unattractive (Jennifer Garner excepted) middle aged women whining about name-calling interspersed with some hackneyed rhetoric so cheesy you could cut it with a knife.

I'm conivinced that the radical left stopped fighting social causes about 5 years ago, and decided to just play gags.

Doesn't Beyoncé have a song called Bow Down? Feminists have no self-awareness or sense of irony, and they also seem really, really dumb, it is insane that anyone would take them seriously.
I'm horrified by Beyonce straightening and dyeing her hair; isn't that the "conk" denounced by Malcolm and Elijah Mohammad?
