I have been a Denver Broncos fan my whole life. As a kid I was thrilled to meet Bobby Anderson who was a Denver Bronco running back. The meeting was quite accidental. My Dad and I happened to walk into one of those old school barber shops. And there was my hero getting a hair cut!
He was a cool guy. I remember how normal he seemed. Just seemed like a regular guy getting a hair cut.

Despite being a horrible team back then, I was a loyal fan and I remember all the quarterbacks. I think my favorite was a Denver quarter back named Steve Ramsey. He sucked. But I was able to tell the other kids at school that Steve Ramsey was my brother (which was technically true. I have a brother with that name).
So, of course, I watched the other night when Peyton Manning broke the all time touchdown record. After the record, his fellow teammates played a funny prank of "keep away" with him. It was good to see football players just loving the game as boys do without any sense of cynicism
The only problem - this was scripted. It was not a spontaneous moment. This "prank" was planned the week before by Peyton himself.

Does it matter? Maybe not. But I think people thirst for the genuine and the real. Almost everything that we see on the news is carefully scripted and fake.
However, I always wanted my videos to be genuine. So I felt bad when a girl wrote me and said that I misrepresented what she said on my last video. I told her to send me her correction and I would post it.
She is not a native English speaker so she asked me to re-write it. But I told her she writes better than 90% of Americans. So except for correct a few spelling errors, below is her response as it was sent to me.

Nobody is saying the German KZ camps were holiday camps because they all had swimming pools (even Treblinka had a swimming pool, which can be seen even today if you visit that camp). What that means, or at least strongly suggests, is that these camps weren't the *extermination* camps they are claimed to be.

That Hitler didn't want to exterminate millions of Jews has been pretty well established by now. In fact, there are two very probably genuine and independent sources in which Hitler says he wants to postpone the "final solution to the Jewish question" to after the war's end - namely the Schlegelberger document and Hitler's Tabletalk.
DeleteThe "tinfoil hat" reference goes back to the Cold War when some people feared that the Soviet Union would use electromagnetic pulses to manipulate or cause disease among the American population, a fact that has actually been shown to be true; the Soviet Union did actually attempt to do that for many decades. So like so many "conspiracies", it was shown to be true after all, and not based on irrational fears.
I think that people who use that kind of argument are the ones who really are afraid. They are afraid because more and more people have woken up and realised that not everything their government and TVs tell them is true. And so some sort of explanation must be put forth to show why these people. who seem very persistent in their thoughts, "believe in weird things".
