High Castle - Will Trump Create the Fourth Reich?
In my Twitter feed I got the following ad:
I thought, cool., Trump has a new campaign ad. Trump's slogan is "Making American Great Again".
But as you can see in the video below, this an ad for a TV series that shows what might have happened if Germany won WW2. I have not watched the series, but I am sure all of the nice Nazi Americans are secretly doing evil things to people of color, homos and trannys. But then the "good" Americans rebel and bring freedom and diversity back to America! Just a wild guess of mine.
So this ad campaign was a not so subtle way of trying to associate Trump the the NAZIS. It has been 70 years and they are still playing the Nazi card.
It’s creepy, this obsession that Hollywood and the rest of the left has with the supposed “glamor” of the Nazis. Per Sylvia Plath, “every woman adores a Fascist”. Maybe the gays love those spiffy black Hugo Boss SS uniforms and get masochistic tingles from them.
ReplyDeleteThe original novel was set mostly in the Japanese occupied western states and unoccupied buffer states in the Rockies, but apparently the Japanese just aren’t glamorous enough for the series producers. Chateau Heartiste could no doubt enlighten us about the sexiness deficit of Asians versus blond brutes.

Not true.
ReplyDeleteIf Hitler had only wanted Danzig, he should have just taken Danzig. Instead, he divided all of Poland with Stalin, and both conquerors wiped out the Polish elites and slaughtered many. German bombing of Poland was as fierce as Dresden bombing.
Also, prior to that, Hitler took all of Czech lands. Sudetenland was mostly German, but Czechoslovakia was obviously not. UK and France let him keep Czechoslovakia, but then Hitler invaded Poland--all of it with Stalin--, which is why he lost the trust of the west.
Not true that Germany-Russia War was inevitable. Stalin rather admired Hitler. Besides, he had plenty of land and didn't need any more. He wanted to keep the peace. It was Hitler who suckerpunched the USSR. Hitler extended the war to the east.
Not true that Russia would have fallen without US aid. US aid did help a lot, but 90% of Soviet war material was made in Russia. Also, Russian industry was bigger than German industry. And USSR had lot more men, and Stalin had moved much of the industry to the east.
Germans were able to conquer lots of empty territory but failed to take any of the major cities: Moscow, Leningrad, and Stalingrad.
Also, German plan was to kill 30 million Russians and enslave the rest. I guess that doesn't bother you. Had Hitler succeeded, he would have killed many more than Stalin did. Indeed, since he triggered WWII, he is the top killer of all time.

I signed up to Amazon Prime a while ago because I wanted to watch season three of vikings. Amazon advertised the service as 9.99 a month with the first 30 days free, so I figured I'd just cancel when I was done watching, but I neglected to read the fine print that explains that it's actually 9.99 x 12 for the whole year at once after the first 30 days is up, so since I'm stuck with it now I've been trying to use the service as much as possible to at least feel like I got some of my money out of it, as such I've been watching the new High Tower series.
ReplyDeleteAs you predicted the show is pretty laughable. The evil Nazis and Japs spend most of their time torturing and killing people, you know, just for the fun of it. The main character is a young, misguided Nazi spy. Over the course of the series I expect he will change his "evil ways", become a homosexual, and help spread awareness and diversity across America.
There is one scene in particular I found pretty entertaining. The main character is working on a super secret evil mission for the mean Nazis, and while driving he gets a flat tire. A cop pulls over to help him change his tire. The main character notices soot falling from the sky, so he asks the cop "What's all this?" To which the cop replies, "Oh that's from the hospital downtown, on Sundays they burn the sick and elderly; they're a drain on the economy" I guess when the Nazis ran out of Jews to make lampshades into, they entertained them self by burning the sick and elderly probably. It's probably true, they said it on TV after all, so it must be right?
Meanwhile the most not only entertaining, but very interesting part of the trailer for this series is actually to be found in the comments section on youtube.

Make sure to read them all the way to the end as there are a few gems - and do it soon before they get deleted.

I'm surprised the usual eskimo suspects aren't selling bonds as a product tie-in. They had no such difficulty during WWII
ReplyDeleteThe funny part is that it shows everything being better if they had won. Maybe we were on the wrong side of that war after all.
ReplyDeleteSo it was in our interest to join the side that killed more people in order to prevent the side that didn't kill more people from killing more people than the side that did, even before the side that didn't existed. I guess that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely RAMZ. He didn't want war with the west, but there is more. He didn't want war with Poland either and tried repeatedly to negotiate a peace with Poland, but the Poles ignorantly told him to drop dead because the British encouraged the Poles to say that by promising to come to the Poles side (a lot of help that was) if Germany attacked. Danzig was 98% German and the entire city turned out to welcome Hitler, their liberator. The Poles also began murdering ethnic Germans and that was what finally forced Germany's hand.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what has been simply covered up is Hitler came to power because Poland attacked Germany and took land from Germany that was not awarded to them at Versailles; Lithuania also attacked Germany and stole the city of Memel in 1923; and the French repeatedly attacked Germany and sent troops into Germany.
A history lesson on the lies. How Britain and the US did everything they could to start a war with Germany:

The lies. FDR claiming Germany will take over South America and you don't have to guess who would be next. The British admitted in the 1970's that they fed this map to the Americans. FDR's speech is ridiculous, but people believe the propaganda.

That is why Germany was united. The Jews paid Churchill to attack Germany and the Poles didn't realize they were being used. In reality, the British couldn't care less about Poland who they handed over to the Soviet Union in 1945 - they wanted a war with Germany.
That is why Hitler had unanimous support. The British, French, Soviets and Americans (from the safety of the other side of the Atlantic ocean) vowed to decimate the Germans.
