The Black Pill and The White Pill
I have been seeing the term "Black Pill" popping up on various Internet forums. While I am quite familiar with the terms "Blue Pill" and "Red Pill" (see vid below of my speech on this topic), the Black Pill was new to me.
The Black Pill
The Black Pill is basically admitting that things are hopeless. The bad guys have the power, money and numbers and they have already won. So why fight a hopeless battle? It is probably smarter to keep your head down and enjoy the decline of Western Civilization. Eat, drink and be merry and don't worry about the future. You will be dead in the future anyway, so who cares?

The White Pill
So should we give up because everything looks hopeless? The rational answer is probably yes. But Western Civilization was created by men who did not share such nihilism. They had faith, yes in God, that their lives had a purpose that transcended this time and place.
Tolkien's philosophy was definitely White Pill.

ReplyDeleteI think there's a middle ground. You can be pro-White and support good causes and still enjoy life. Call that the Grey Pill.
ReplyDeleteWhat's you should definitely avoid is sulking and self-pity. That's a waste of life. You need to take the Black Pill, the White Pill or the Grey Pill.
